Synopsis 

The Barden Bella is back! After two times winning the US A Cappella Championship, they appear at the birthday party of US President... and they successfully ruin everything! The Barden Bella is banned from their own tour and also threatened to be discontinue. Their only chance not to be dismissed is winning the World A Cappella Championship, which is impossible. Their biggest rival, Das Sound Machine, a Germany a cappella group, is very good and intimidating.

In the middle of the frustrated condition, Becca, the leader of The Barden Bella, want to focus on her next step after graduating. She secretly be an intern of a music production company. The other members are so suspicious and they start to feel that The Barden Bella is no longer unified. On the other hand, there's Emily Junk, the freshman whom mother was the elder member of The Barden Bella. She really wants to join in the group, but she found out that The Barden Bella is not like what she always imagined.

When I watched Pitch Perfect for the first time, I know that this is the kind of film that people would love to watch again and again. It's very entertaining. I was so excited when I heard that there would be the sequel. But, right before I watch the sequel, the expectation comes to my mind. What if the sequel is not good as the first one? What if the story-line is not good enough and seems to be forced? What if the characters changed? What if the Skylar Astin part is reduced...

After I watched Pitch Perfect 2, I was relieved. I was happy it was good. Phew!

Maybe it's not as bombastic as the first film. But, for a sequel film, this film is good! The character stays on themselves. The story-line is simple but meaningful. The mash-up is cool, even though they don't sing a lot of high pitch on this film so often, but it's still good. They actually sing two a cappela song that won't come out from my head for days: When I'm Gone (A cappella) and Flashlight. For the humor... Well, you can count on Fat Amy. She's the bomb!

The only thing I dislike about this film is the Skylar Astin part. They reduce his presence on this film. I need more Skylar Astin!
